The training in Transactional Analysis at the Bernese seminars for Transactional Analysis leads to various recognized degrees in four different fields of application:Fields of application:
- Psychotherapy
- Counselling (psychosocial counseling, coaching, etc.)
- Education (pedagogy / teaching, andragogy / adult education, social pedagogy, etc.)
- Organization (management, HR, organizational development, organizational consulting, etc.)
Degree options:
Possible after approx. three years with
- Certificate "Practical Competence in Transaction Analysis" from the SGTA (Swiss Society for Transactional Analysis)
- with a few additional modules as "Counsellor SGfB" (Swiss Society for Counselling) or Swiss certified Counsellor in the psychosocial area
- with additional modules in adult education, the SVEB certificate (AdA FA-M1) at the Eric Berne Institute in Zurich
Advanced seminar
Requirements: Completed basic curriculum or many years of experience with TA and an admissions interview Degree: After completion of advanced training, written work and oral examination in front of an international committee "Certified Transactional Analyst , CTA of SGTA and EATA (Swiss or other TA society and European society for Transactional Analysis)
and
- at the same time entitles to the membership in the BSO as a supervisor (applies to qualifications in the fields of consulting and organization)
From PTSTA status to TSTA
- After further training, the provisional teaching and teaching supervision authorization (PTSTA) can be acquired at a TEW (Training Endorsement Workshop).
- The qualification as TSTA (Training and Supervising Transactional Analyst) takes place in a multi-part oral examination before international bodies.
All seminars can also be attended individually depending on the level of training. The entire training can be completed in modules - according to your needs and possibilities.

The theory is taught according to the level of learning:
Introductory course TA-101
Foundation year - mostly three years of basic training
Advanced training
CTA-exam preparation (also called Master-Class)
After CTA certification:
Supervision - TEW preparation - PTSTA workshops - preparation for the TSTA exam
Supervision - Practice-theory-transfer and development
The purpose of supervision is
the deepening of the theory
guaranteeing the transfer of theory to practice
to challenge the development according to the TA idea of man
